Green keeping at Monmouth Golf, is managed by Paul Gibson ( Course Manager of Forest Hills Golf Club) and Nigel Thompson (Head Greenkeeper at Sherdons). Together, they bring a wealth of experience in Green keeping and a determination to give it their all, to give you all the best course possible.

Paul has been Head Greenkeeper at Forest Hill’s for over 30 years, producing a fantastically maintained golf course which attracts numerous big golf tournaments (the Gloucestershire Men’s County Championship and the England Seniors PGA event to name just two) whilst allowing golfers of all abilities to enjoy the challenge of Forest Hill’s. As a low handicap golfer, Paul understands what is needed and has a keen eye for course presentation. He will mainly oversee the machinery. Nigel has been in this industry for 30 years, 15 of those as a Head Greenkeeper, as well as being a low handicap golfer, playing County golf for many years. Working hard, and keen to keep everyone up to date with what’s going on out on the course, we’ll be updating this page with latest news from Paul and Nigel.
